Our founder, a Cuban immigrant, came to America filled with ambition and unyielding tenacity. He balanced two grueling restaurant jobs. Despite his hectic schedule, he prioritized family, ensuring he cherished moments like dinner with his wife and two young sons, and their school drop-offs. These moments served as his daily respite.
A pivotal turning point occurred three years into his demanding journey. A close friend, a distributor acquainted through work, sustained a severe leg injury. Seeing our founder’s integrity and hard work, this friend offered him a chance to step in. Initially intended as temporary help, this involvement paved the way for a significant opportunity. Consequently, a part of the distributorship was sold to our founder, leading to the establishment of OJO Corp.
Meanwhile, our founder’s wife was making strides in her career. She began as a Housekeeper at Comfort Suites. Her dedication and zeal propelled her to a managerial role within just three years. However, as OJO Corp started gaining traction, she opted for a directional shift. Leaving her job, she became the linchpin of the family enterprise—overseeing finances and nurturing a warm household environment for her husband and children.
The essence of the enterprise lay in its familial foundation. Reflecting this, the company evolved from OJO Corp to ZOJO Corp, with each letter symbolizing a treasured family member’s initial. ZOJO Corp transcends being merely a business—it’s a living homage to commitment, familial ties, and the quintessential American Dream.
